While this is yet another video that I've felt the music really suits the anime I've set it to, this vid didn't turn out as well as I could have hoped. While this video made it to the music video contest at Katsucon, 2002, that really wasn't any big accomplishment... ^^;; This isn't to say that this video is necessairily bad, per se, but just not as good as the other ones that I've done, lol. The theory behind using this song to "Akira" was that there were three central people who were affected by Tetsuo's sudden psychic developments - Tetsuo, his girlfriend Kaori, and his childhood friend Kaneda. I guess what makes the song really fitting is that the song contains lyrics such as "All the scars are on the inside
I'm not sure that there's anything left of me" (Tetsuo) "You ask me why I'm weary
why I can't speak to you" (Kaori) "My energy is spent at last, and my armor is destroyed
...
Did I hear you say that this is victory?" (Kaneda) I guess the lesson I've learned from making this third video is that I ought to leave artsy-fartsyish music video ideas at home and stick to making comedies and parodies... ^_^;;
